Our experience with Future Build Specialists was incredibly positive and better than we could of expected. Everyone on the team was friendly, professional and helpful. Every idea we had has been realised because everyone was willing to help us achieve the vision we wanted. Many times ideas were suggested to us that ended up saving us money.

Project Value:
£170,000

Location:
Worthing, West Sussex

Our client wanted to make the most of the beautiful sea views from this recently purchased beach front property in Worthing.

To achieve our customer’s wish we undertook extensive structural alterations to remove internal walls and create a trendy open plan living space

We further enhanced the feel of the ground floor of the property by constructing a rear extension to allow room for a generously sized kitchen including island.

Our client got more from the space after we created a downstairs shower room and moved the main entrance to the front of the house to allow a lobby and cloakroom area.

Upstairs we reconfigured the family bathroom to enable our customer to have sea views from the shower and installed a free standing bath.

To ensure the whole house was up to the same level, we completed a full electrical rewire, fitted a new heating system including gas fire and installed new windows and doors throughout – including bifold and french doors to both the front and back of the property.

With the new layout and design our client achieved their vision, allowing them to have sea views from the whole of the ground floor space, including the garden to the rear – topped off with a stunning floating staircase with glass balustrade leading to the first floor.

We completed the look by installing a a silicone based render to the exterior of the property to give this beach front house the outside appearance it so deserved.
Our biggest challenge on this project was overcoming the structural requirements to leave our client with the finish they wanted.

In the process of removing the internal walls to create the open plan space they desired, we had to undertake a considerable amount of propping of the original building to get the structural support beams in place.

The result was we safely managed to get the new layout fully supported without the need for unsightly columns and beams being on show. The finish is seamless and the only structural element the client sees is the wonderful floating staircase.”
